Its again the start of a new school year for many of my church, whether going to school, teachers teaching new students, or parents watching their children grow up and start a new grade. There is a lot of excitement and anticipation in the air. Its a blessing to have the ability to push the reset button, maybe work harder on the grades, or start over with a new class, or just get behind your children more. With each new start there is always potential abundant for anything. The gospel is full of such potential for every believer. Many times our relationship with Christ becomes distant for whatever reason maybe we become distracted, maybe inticed by things that move our hearts away from Him, whatever the case we serve a God that gives us opportunity to reset our lives in Him. 1 John 1:5-10 gives clear instructions to those who have put their relationship with God on hold, or have grown distant. Confess our sins, and He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. How long has it been since you rested in His forgiveness? Why don’t you start something new today, 2 Corinthians 5:17
